Give a thoughtful and cozy homemade gift with these chocolate chip cookies in a jar!

I was looking for the perfect party favor for my daughter's Cookie Monster-themed birthday party. When I thought of gifting chocolate chip cookie mix in a jar, I loved the idea for a few reasons:
It was a gift that could include an entire family.
It could be used at a later time but wasn't another item people had to keep around forever.
It felt so cozy and nostalgic - perfect for the upcoming holiday season and winter months!
It was relatively inexpensive, easy, and quick to put together.
I love the DIY and homemade feel.
Here's everything you need to create your own chocolate cookie mix in a jar gift for your loved ones, teachers, neighbors, and friends:
Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix Ingredients:
Quart-sized mason jar with lid
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teason salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
Place mixture in 1-quart jar.
Add the brown sugar next.
Add the sugar next.
Top with the chocolate chips.
Tip: To create the perfect layered look, pack each ingredient down with a spoon around the outside of the jar as you add them.
Finishing Touches
To complete the gift, there are a few final touches to add to the jar:
Add a circular piece of fabric or decorative paper on the lid.
Tie a ribbon around the neck of the jar and use it to attach the cookie recipe card.
