My husband and I went on a little mid-week date night last week, which means we had a babysitter come to our house to take care of our daughter. Wednesdays are always my day to focus on cleaning, so the timing was perfect.
It felt so great to give our home a good reset, and it made me think about some of the home goods and cleaning products that make the job a little easier (and more fun!).
Read on for some of the items I use to maintain and style our life and home in a functional way. Additionally, these are all featured in this reel I shared to my Instagram.
Master Bedroom
Duvet Cover

I first found this duvet cover when I was building our wedding registry. I have tried several others from different brands (including some higher-end ones), and I continue to default back to this one. It is the perfect size, has ties in the inner corners to keep your duvet insert in place, and has a zipper closer (my favorite feature!).
Nightstand Lamps

I wanted a simple and clean look for our nightstand lamps, and these are the perfect size! We purchased them almost four years ago, and they are still working great. My favorite practical features are tap to turn on and off, three different brightness options, and two USB ports for easy charging.
Microfiber Pillowcases

Unlike me, my husband doesn't prefer to use a silk pillowcase. I didn't want to spend tons of money to buy two separate sets of pillowcases to meet both our needs, so this 4-pack was a great find! They have a zip closure, which keeps your pillow fully covered. I wash our bedding weekly, and we have continued to use the same one since we purchased. The condition is just like new, and the fabric is so soft.
Faux Olive Tree

The way sunlight comes into our master bedroom isn't conducive to the survival of a live plant, but I still wanted some green to make the space feel natural and a little colorful. This faux olive tree looks so real, making it the perfect choice to add to our decor. Placing it inside a woven or knit basket is the perfect way to dress it up.
Laundry
Molly's Suds Laundry Detergent

I try to use all non-toxic products in my house. This detergent works so well, and I love the peace of mind knowing I'm not dousing our clothes in harmful chemicals. My favorite scent is Ocean Mist - it's a blend of essential oils and leaves clothes smelling fantastic! I also use their baby detergent in the Sweet Baby Shea for my daughter's clothes.
Woven Laundry Basket

I believe that everything in a home should reflect the style of the home and the people who live there, which means even if something is practical, if it doesn't fit the vibe, then I don't want it (lol). When I was decorating my daughter's room, I wanted a laundry basket that was soft, cozy, and a touch of girly. This woven basket holds a ton, and the handles make it easy to carry around.
Closet Bins

Organizing tiny clothes can be daunting. I've found that learning how to properly fold different types of items and having a customizable system to accommodate a changing wardrobe are key. I also love having an open closet format that allows me to see all the clothes as I'm putting outfits together - as opposed to having them hidden away in drawers. This bin set comes with different sizes to help create that flexible, visual system.
Kids' Clothing Hangers

I am a big believer in velvet hangers for home closets. They are slim to maximize space, provide a uniform look, and prevent clothing from constantly slipping off hangers and onto the floor. This youth size of hanger is perfect for all sizes of kids' clothes from baby through big kid. They are a great value for the price!
Bathroom
Toilet Seat

We have started exposing our daughter to the process of potty training, and this seat has made our life so much easier! It replaces our normal toilet seat and has an internal smaller one that snaps into it for a child's use. We don't have to make space for an extra seat that isn't visually flattering, and it helps her to feel like she is a big girl. The quality is great, it has a slow-close feature, and there are different colors and shapes to ensure a perfect match to your toilet.
Toilet Light

This night light is so discreet yet useful! I try to minimize light as much as possible during the night, which means I don't want any overhead lights to have to be turned on if someone needs to use the bathroom overnight. This little light hooks onto your toilet and illuminates the inside of the bowl for a soft glow. It is motion activated and there are different light settings to match your preferences.
Toilet Brush

This brush is made of silicone bristles to reduce germ and bacteria build up compared to a traditional brush. It easily allows you to reach all areas of the toilet bowl, and does a great job of cleaning. I also love that its holder has a draining device in the base to ensure it fully dries out between uses. I will never go back to using a non-silicone toilet brush!
Microfiber Cleaning Cloth

Microfiber cleaning cloths are a staple in most cleaning routines. You can find some name brand ones at pretty high costs. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I find these no-name cloths do just as good of a job. Plus, they come in different colors and pack sizes to fit your style and needs. Since they are priced so low, I don't feel bad about just tossing one if it gets too dirty for me to launder.
Scent
Pura Diffuser

A home's scent is one of the first things people will notice when walking through the front door. I have found my favorite way to ensure my home always smells good is with the Pura. I have a few spread throughout my home. I love that they partner with brand names to offer scents that are non-toxic and perfect for every mood. The Pura app makes managing the devices a breeze. Each device holds two fragrances, can be set to run on a schedule, and can serve as an accent light.
Capri Blue Volcano Pura Refill

The signature scent I keep in one slot of my Pura diffusers almost all year round is Capri Blue Volcano. It is bright, light, and fresh. It welcomes people into our home with excitement and zest. I find one scent vial lasts me about a month diffusing on a medium strength.
Kitchen
Straw Cups

We chose to skip sippy cups with our daughter. Instead, we opted to introduce open cups and straw cups front the start. We have used these straw cups so much! They are made of glass and silicone, so they limit exposure to toxic chemicals. They are also adorable in style and color, and they don't break easily. They come with a second lid that doesn't have a straw hole, so you can use them for food storage, as well.
Leftovers Containers

These glass containers are non-toxic and a great size for storing a complete meal of leftovers. We've been using them for almost four years now and have had no issues with them breaking - even when taking them on the go for lunch. The three compartments keep food separate, which is a great bonus! We've also used these to hold snack options for our daughter when we are out and about or traveling.
These Amazon finds are just the tip of the ice berg for products I've purchased to help me create an organized, clean, and put-together home. Let me know what products you've purchased from Amazon for your home that you can't live without!
